Facial motion capture is now a lot more easy.
Record your performance and export the result to FBX or TXT.
The FBX export contains mesh, blendshapes and animation data.
The TXT export contains just animation data.
Additional features:
* Import your own custom avatars (From Blender or Maya).
* Calibrate the capture data.
* Video recording for reference.
* Filter and smooth the recorded data.
* Send blendshape parameter data over Wifi with OSC.
* Lock the head in place.
* Hide the head during recording.

Dependable and functional
I’ve been using Facecap for a few years and it continues to deliver. Recently I started using custom avatars that can be uploaded to the app. This is a game changer as my actors get realtime feedback on the character they are animating.
If you’re looking to get into facial mocap, this is the app to get.
Superb Face Capture app!!
This FaceCap app does it all for face capture! Including saving video, txt data and fbx export. Also love the OSC live connect version direct to any machine.
Love the additional feature to import custom Head and blendshapes! Please have a Blender exporter for .fca thanks!

Great! but overpriced
The app performs admirably. It’s nothing fancy but it doesn’t need to be. The live connect feature works well, as does the demo supplied. However, the unlock all features is $84!!!! If this was $10-$20 I would have bought it in a second. But this seems way overpriced for what the app actually does and what unlocking these features does.
