FAR: Lone Sails 9+

I absolutely adored this game from start to finish. The visuals were lovely, the sound design was fantastic, and the level design was well thought-out. I first saw this game on Jacksepticeye’s channel, and I was so excited when I discovered the mobile version.

I only found two faults in the game. First, the controls are not optimised for mobile. The buttons are too small and are spaced right at the edge of the phone screen, making it difficult to move sometimes. I suggest using a dynamic moveable ‘control stick’, like Descenders and INSIDE have done.

Second, sometimes there were glowing orange lines across terrain and objects. This was distracting and took away from the experience, and it might be the result of closing the game and relaunching from a save point later.

Despite these small faults, I thought the game was fantastic. The resource management system made it engaging to cover long distances, Okomotive really nailed that aspect. I highly recommend the game to anyone thinking of playing it.

After playing this purchased title on Steam it was flawless and breathtaking. It was disappointing that there was no usb controller support or Sony Wireless Controller suppott, but at least the keyboard commands were smooth and accurate. This Apple App Store version still has no controller support and the keyboard movement has your character moving two spaces with one press of the left or right arrow key. Hopefully there will be a Mac Version on the App Store along with the sequel, Far: Changing Tides, which also looks amazing.

I loved every minute of this game/story/thing. It was heaven. The controls were annoying from time to time but it was well worth it. Music was heaven too.

Seriously people if it’s not working on your phone then don’t give it one star because you haven’t played the game!!! It’s not fair to judge just because of your old phone.
