I’m no digital native and found it easily so all good
Camera Roll
Unable to insert photo from camera roll. Only allows camera or Instagram. No icon to insert photo from camera roll. Even after purchasing the App. Am I doing something wrong?

It sounds like you haven't used the app, but just looked at the screenshots. The application requests access to the photo and, if you gave it, displays your photos under the "Camera" button. If you have not given permission, you will see an empty list. The "Instagram" button just opens our instagram, you cannot select a photo from there
