Freetrailer makes it possible to rent a free cargo trailer at IKEA, SILVAN, Bilka, Power, Pelican Self Storage, XL-Byg and more. With over 200,000 rentals each year and more than 100 different rental locations, we are the absolute biggest supplier of rental trailers in Denmark … and it’s free!
Our app makes it possible to reserve, pick up, unlock, lock and return a trailer directly from your smartphone! No more standing in line at the rental place, no more papers and no more keys. Everything is handled easily over the phone.
It has always been free to rent a trailer with Freetrailer, as long as you don’t make a reservation from home. It will remain free, regardless if you make a reservation from the phone or if you have the rental place assist you. When you are physically located at the rental place, the phone will automatically make sure, that you do not pay a reservation fee!

Phenomenal initiative but the app could use some love
I’m not gonna harp on about how Ana ing an initiative Freetrailer is. I’ve used their trailers 4 times over 2 months since buying a house and It’s made my life infinitely easier and I’m incredibly grateful for the service. The app however could use some quality of life improvements namely:
- Store my details including my license number so I don’t have to look it up all the time
- Add support for Apple Pay and maybe PayPal
Apart from that I’m just super happy to have this tool at my disposal
Fantastic
I have used the trailers twice. They are clean and the app makes it all very easy. A great idea and easy to use.
