Fresh Bread! Fairy Bakery 12+

This is a genuinely wonderful bakery management game. The characters and aesthetics are adorable, there’s a tonne of options to customise and upgrade your bakery, new recipes to unlock, prizes to win, and at no point do they try to put in a paywall, you can enjoy the entire game without spending a cent!
I’ve watched a lot of ads, not out of necessity to progress in the game, but just to provide some support to great developers.
This is likely the first game on the App Store that I’ve found where I actually really care about and enjoy unlocking all the items and upgrades.
It’s very relaxing to tend to my kitchens and fields, and watch my little restaurant bustle with customers. Customisation options are fantastic and so cute, there’s a lot of freedom to make your bakery unique to your own style.
I’ve had many hours of playtime unlocking and upgrading everything, so I’ll clarify that I only ask for more because I loved it, not because the game is lacking. I would love to see new recipes and items added in, options to upgrade facilities even further, as well as more and bigger bakery expansions. I think the explanation for what the golden tickets do is quite confusing, perhaps could be worded better. Halloween event was brilliant, I’m hoping to see more events upcoming as well!

I tried a lot of baking / cooking games during lockdown and this is the one I still play a lot. Cute graphics, simple mechanics, good customisation and things to unlock, the ads are integrated well and aren’t annoying. You don’t get random pop up ads interrupting your gameplay which I really appreciate. I personally like the fact it’s not idle because it feels like I am actually playing the game and affect everything rather than leaving my ipad turned on to the side. Even if you are waiting you can harvest your wheat or call customers outside. Overall this is a very good and balanced game.

This is a cute game, but it can be better. There is a glitch when baking bread that the bar “freezes” for a brief moment, resulting in player missing a perfect score or even ending up with failed bread. And please make it an idle game! There is nothing to do after making bread except for harvesting, but I need to keep the game open to sell bread??? I actually timed it - to sell out a full bakery of 7 tray, 10 breads each tray, I had to keep my phone open and not locked for freaking 30 mins. That is insane, especially when it only takes a fraction of that time to make all those breads and there’s nothing for player to kill time while waiting. I haven’t touched the game during the last few days solely for this reason. Some recipes also don’t make sense, like making croissant with only flour and egg. I appreciate this game for not pressuring players into making in-app purchases to level up like many other cooking games out there, but it needs to get better.
