On the Geelong Advertiser’s website, hearty debate takes place between readers expressing their opinions and views on articles published.
This app (which requires a paid subscription to access content) shows none of the interesting and engaging interactions between readers: something which certainly adds to the reader experience.
This app has been hastily thrown together, is riddled with errors and does much less than other comparable news apps with a paywall.
Time for a massive overhaul of this poor app.
Definitely the worst app I have ever used.
Have had nothing but problems with this app. Frequently not working. States that I do not have access entitlements or that I need to contact Geelong advertiser or log on with GA account rather than thru iTunes. Sometimes reloading app works and sometimes not. And then a day later is working. Currently unable to open app. Being asked to upgrade to a new app costing about $14 more per month. I also subscribe to the digital Age and never a problem.
Broken app no support offered
I pay a $30 monthly subscription through iTunes but that only allows me to read the articles, if you want to comment on an article I am required to purchase a second $30 subscription directly from the paper, yes that makes $60 a month, no third rate paper is worth that. Phoning the help numbers gets some call centre that knows nothing. Well done NewsCorp.
