GeoID is a professional tool for measuring and analyzing geological structures. This application includes geological compass, stereographic projection, instability analysis and wireless data sharing.

Great app. I am using it for field mapping and it makes my job so much easier. I would recommend this app for any field geologist for taking quick bedding, cleavage measurements. Just one big annoying thing is that the coordinates get rounded to a total of 6 figures and this is not accurate enough for me. Please update the app to record the full coordinate. Thanks.

Just did some Window mapping using a standard Clar compass and my iPhone and this app rocks!We could even do the kinematic analysis in the field at the rock face which is useful. Then just exported the data as an CSV to put into dips.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
