Description
We are winding down the Velocity Global Wallet® program. You will continue to be able to spend or perform ATM withdrawals of your funds until 31 October 2021 and redeem your funds beyond that date. From 1 February 2021, several important changes will occur:
· you will no longer earn Velocity Points via Global Wallet®
· fees will apply to ATM transactions and funds redemptions
The use of the Physical and Virtual cards has been extended as a courtesy to you
and solely for the purposes of making the redemption of funds more convenient.
As a reminder, as of 30 June 2021, you can no longer request a replacement
Physical card, and this remains unchanged.
The last date on which you can use your Physical and Virtual cards has been
extended from 31 July 2021 and will continue to operate up to and including 31
October 2021. Your Virtual card remains available in the Global Wallet App up to
and including 31 October 2021.
However, the last day you can transact in non-AUD currency is 26 September
2021.
From 27 September 2021 and up to and including 31 October 2021, you will be
able to continue to transact or make ATM withdrawals in AUD only.
On or around 28 September, any available balance held in Foreign Currency
Wallets will be converted to AUD. Your non-AUD Foreign Currency Wallets will be
closed at the same time and then the AUD balances will be transferred to your
AUD Wallet within seven days.
From 1 November 2021, you will not be able to use your Physical or Virtual cards
and you will ONLY be able to request redemptions via the Account Centre.

Version 2.7.0
This is another important reminder of the wind down of the Global Wallet program, which follows prior notices dating back to November 2020. As a consideration to you, we have extended the period during which you can use your card from 30 June 2021 to 31 October 2021. Please note, however, that you spend or request any remaining funds by no later than 31 October 2021. You may easily spend your remaining funds via Global Wallet card purchase, or withdraw funds at an ATM anytime; or simply contact us at the customer service number on the back of your card to request a redemption of your funds.

Handy but could be better...
Have used the app & travel card in Australia and Europe with no issues. Easy to navigate and manage funds across currencies.
The app could seriously benefit from:
1) Inclusion of AED currency, Dubai is one of the biggest airports in the world after all and it’s hard to go anywhere without passing through it.
2) Make the travel card Apple Pay compatible! ASAP.
3) Include a ‘cash-out’ function (similar to qantas cash) so its possible to make a direct transfer back to your primary Australian bank account. Not having this compatibility is a serious shortfall. Should be free of charge.
No Face ID support *updated*
Update: Thanks for the dev response! I went into the app settings and for some reason the FaceID toggle was set to on but was not working. I had to turn it off and then on again before the app would ask for the faceID permission next time I opened the app, not sure why this is the case as I had never touched the settings prior to installing. Thanks though 👌 now just Apple Pay support pls haha
Old review, still applies: Apple Pay support? I top up my card every pay but the main reason I end up not using my velocity card when I'm out is because with Apple Pay I rarely carry around my wallet - or I just forget I have it all together and tap my phone

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with login. FaceID should be available in the latest version of the app. You can activate it in Global Wallet App>Settings>Security>FaceID.

Best card on the market
Have had a card for some years now and recommend it highly. Use it for everything to pay bills to buy groceries petrol for phone credit to buy new items clothing furniture absolutely everything . The app has just recently updated and find it very easy to use and navigate. Easy to unlock a blocked card, check spending instantly. Receive an email also when used so easy to keep on top of. Points build up and flight can be brought.
