A couple of years later and this app is still not working
I can see many reviews talking about how this app is useless and doesn’t work. I saw some were as 2y+ old. You’d expect by now Google would have fixed it but you’d be mistaken.
For such a mission critical app, I believe Google should give it some more attention. But seems like a minority of its users need it and likely hence why the low attention. It’s a shame.
Literally useless
The generated codes never work. Ever. This was reported years ago but they keep offering it as an alternative 2fa to waste people’s time. No idea why they don’t kill this when they’ve killed so many *actually useful* apps and services.
It works fine now
The app works great now. Good alternative to using the google app or gmail for login verification. The app size is much smaller.
