GPS Log LITE 4+

I started looking for an app that can tag images & make notes on the go for reference and journaling purposes and while none of them are perfect this looks to be the best of them at present.

The good - it's fast (are you listening Geotag developers?); importantly, no connection is required when logging; it allows for multiple pics from the library or camera; it links to map view; interface is clean and user friendly.

For a free app this is great. My comments & suggestions below are based on the fact that this free version is actually just a trial for the full version (which is at the pricier end for apps of its type) rather than a fully workable app.

I suggest some small improvements:
Adding photos is a useful function that is supported. An edit function that allows deletion of a photo would be very useful.
The ability to return to the previous page after checking a location map. Now you need to close the map view and relaunch the app. It would also be great if it allowed a user to store an image of the map alongside the images or notes in the tagged entry.
Font standardization or scaleability - currently all fields are XLarge font except notes which is Xsmall and hard to work with.

Other additions that would make this a must-have app are:
Export to Google Earth/GPX map apps is supported, as is email, but a fully workable desktop sync using a browsr or supporting software would allow ease of movement and editing of data.
Categorization - folders, etc. would also be a great addition so a user could keep tagged cafes separate from hotels for example.
Audio notes & weblinks (Evernote & Pozbook)would be a nice addition.

So in short, this is good and if all you want is to tag the location of your car or an ocassional location, get it! If you want a serious tool, the full verion seems a bit pricey given the missing features. Look forward to updates coz I really want to find a fully featured app like this.

Hi all. Well, this is much better than expected. I've downloaded and used the LITE version of this app for free as I've been burned previously shelling out for apps that don't do what the author said they would! This is different. It does exactly what is stated it would do and it does it in an environment that is pure iPhone! The interface feels truly native to the device and so once I understood what I needed to do to log my adventure, it was smooth sailing. It could not be easier and that it does not need signal is even better! I have no hesitation in recommending this app. It does what it states and I believe it is worth the price of a few cups of coffee to keep this great app developer doing more of the same! Cool app, do yourself a favor and buy the full version. Oh yeah! Check out what it does with it's export to Google Earth! It's simply fantastic....

I've been traveling on holiday with a friend in San Francisco, and we've been geotagging everywhere we've been with this cool app. We went on a pub crawl last night and thanks to GPS Log, we can remember all the cool places we went to - and even the path we took to get there! A great app that the App Store has been aching for - definitely check this one out!
