Bug fixes and improvements

What have you done to this app?

The previous versions of this app, while clunky at times, always worked. But now, with this version, if you are reading the magazine while connected to wifi the pages take forever to load, especially the advertisements. If you try and download an edition, it rarely loads first time. And then after it downloads, you find that it is not available when disconnected to wifi. As someone who likes to read content like this on planes, this makes the app useless.

Good concept, terrible delivery

I don't mind paying for the mags, they are good. This software however is utter rubbish. First they release a new version of the software that doesn't bring over all the mags you purchased in the old app (and the only way to access them is if you have the old app already on your computer, you can't re-download it). So bad luck if you have spent a chunk of change on the old software mags then get a new computer. Then this new software doesn't download the mags properly - it will download a couple hundred megs, then time out, then drop you back to say 30 megs, then download a couple hundred megs, time out then drop you back to say 100 megs, and slowly repeat this process until it finally uses over 2 gigs to download a 500 meg issue. God forbid you connect your iPad to the computer and for whatever reason it deletes your gq app - lock in a few hours and a months data usage to sit at your iPad constantly clicking "resume download" every time it times out.
Also, there seems to be no way to sync the mags back to computer for archiving which would at least mean only one agonizing download per issue.
At least the support team get back to you ("no there is no way to restore the mags from the old app unless you happen to have the old app on a computer").
Poor execution of what is a really great concept.

It's amazing !

The new GQ app is available today and I can not wait to download it. This version has enhanced the reading experience and it is easier for reader to quickly go through the issue. But we can not zoom in pictures to see details any more and the single issue price is a little higher than previous version. All in all a great Magazine app!!
