Description

Guitar Fretboard app is designed to help you learn scales, memorize fretboard and train your ear. Allows to customize every aspect of displaying a scale or chord notes/intervals on a guitar fretboard. Also shows each scale degree chords and modes with ability to highlight a chord on a scale.
Important: doesn't show how to play chords, shows only intervals of a chord and it is up to you to choose fingerings. Great for learning chords in details. Not great as a simple reference. Application is catered more to learning scales than chords unless you want to see all the chord notes on a fretboard. Plays notes when they are tapped on fretboard.

Features:

Jason Peters 2020 ,

It could be useful.

I am not exactly sure what the app is for so I have not purchased it.

My hope is that it can be used to write chords so that I can copy and paste them to a document.

The problems so far are the size of the chord photo in that I’m not sure if it will fit at the top of a chord sheet like usual.

Secondly, when I delete a note from the chord, it deletes that note from every position. I am sure there is a way to have a single G in the G chord rather than all of the possible G notes with in the chosen frets.

Developer Response ,

Hi,
This app is for showing scales mainly as the name of it suggests. Chords in the app are shown only as scales (intervals/notes of chords across the whole fretboard). That's why when you delete 1 note/interval it removes all places of that note. App wasn't built to show particular chord locations (even thought that is on the list for the future).
If you want to create a picture of a chord in some particular position you can use "Focus feature" (icon on the toolbar looks like this [ ] kinda). It allows you to mask the area of the fretboard to show notes of the chord on. For example you have Emajor chord with 1 3 5 intervals shows all over the fretboard but you only want a picture of a chord near the nut of guitar. You can mask out everything except those strings and frets and individual places on the fretboard that you want to show.
If you have any troubles doing how I described contact me using Menu -> Report a bug or Menu -> Request a feature (it will open email app with my email typed in). Alternatively you can contact directly using nazar.vorotnyak@gmail.com email and I will provide instructions with screenshots how to do what you want.
