Description

Want to play guitar better than anyone? Are you a rock, metal, jazz, funk or classic musician? Then this app is just for you!

This is an unique collection of guitar modes that gives you an excellent original material for improvisations! "Guitar Modes Symmetry School" is a triple horizontal system, in which modes are played with 3-notes-per-string approach. Unlike the "vertical-traditional" fingering, this school presents "horizontal-extended" fingering, that helps to perform modes in 2-3 octaves bound. Such artists as Shawn Lane, Frank Gambale, John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Guthrie Govan, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Richie Kotzen, Joe Satriani and others used to practice extended fingering in their songs. This school will help you to take possession top technique, i.e. you will be able to more quickly achieve technique perfection. Material inside this app represents our several years experience, and we hope it will give you some pleasure!

Too pricey

A bit too expensive for what I was looking for, I was seeking more of a training and reference mode application. For example if I were to play certain chords I'd like to find a suitable scale. Although this has numerous scales and the controls are user friendly, it does not contain all the key signature modes.

Way overpriced

Good concept but very limited content- very expensive for features included. Very limited user control, really needs features such as speed control for playback and chord sounds to play scales over (and more). Similar features to apps costing only a few dollars. Please develop further OR reduce cost drastically. Also, does nothing to help with technique or skills development other than showing you patterns, so description is a bit misleading.

Developer Response ,

This review is outdated. The Guitar Modes app has been updated many times since the time this review was written. There are lots of new functions and improvements have been developed and included into the app.

Too expensive.

Agree with the above comments, too expensive. I'm actually quite disappointed. It would be more beneficial if a list of scales could be suggested based on a chord.
