Q: Can I create or edit sheet music with this app?
A: Unlike Guitar Pro for Windows and Mac, this app does not let you change the notation in an existing Guitar Pro file, or create sheet music in standard notation. It is however possible to edit a single-track tablature with the NotePad tool and export your work into .gpx and .gp formats to finish your composition in Guitar Pro 6 or 7. Editing a drum track is not available with the NotePad tool.

Great companion app!

This is an amazing app! Perfect for my situation where I bought Guitar Hero 7.5 and I transfer everything to the app. It’s not great for writing but it’s great for reading on the go. Let’s say you wrote a tab on the computer and you need to perform the song tomorrow night. You don’t know the song and are screwed. The thing is, you aren’t. Put this app on a phone or tablet and you’re set. Take it with you and read off a stand, you even have lyrics and a metronome. Just a great app.

Better than nothing

It’s not unusable, but for importing large amounts of tabs, most end up automatically sorted into large groups. The only option for file sorting is to tediously edit every single file individually to fit everything into whatever album or artist you wish. Terrible for packs of exercises that haven’t been meticulously given an artist, album, composer, year, etc.

Your only options with this app are importing and editing file information—you can do nothing else to streamline your experience.

Gimme another option ,

Not able to import exported files

In order to have a file saved you have to export it, otherwise it stays within the app. But if you want to import it later, you can’t edit the saved file. Ridiculous! Make sure you finish the file, or forget about editing it if you have to reinstall GP on a new phone, as I found out!
