Latest software update

Thank goodness for the latest fan software update! The fans had been almost unusable since the last update via the app. Kept dropping off WiFi and taking 10-15 seconds for the lights to come on on initial power on... Was very disappointed with customer services response - essentially live with it, nothing we can do. Redeemed with this update, but it was too long coming!

Great Fan, Terrible App

So excited to get a haiku fan!
Desired one for years!
Beautiful product! So good.
Works beautifully :)

The app though.. appears that basic user interface design stages were skipped.

Hmmm.

Why are there two different menu areas, one on the left (under the hamburger) and another at the bottom of the page? Why not have one menu with all of the options?

Why are the exit buttons in the top right?
The “Done” (which can mean or “Confirm” or “On” or “Yes”..) could do with further research.

Why isn’t the bottom menu visible at all times?

It’s confusing to see it appear and disappear.

Why doesn’t the app allow a single Event to have a start and end time eg. Fan On 8am-9am?
(Perhaps I “haven’t spent enough time using the app” which is an indication of bad app design: great app design doesn’t require any instruction- it should work as seamless as the technology.)

Instead you have to create an Event for On and another Event for Off.

Why is the speed slider left to right?
Could it be vertical, to appear like a volume control, a basic element that more people are used to? Why isn’t there an option to press a number to pick the speed?
The slider doesn’t show speed until you press it.
Badly missed design.

App is Far too complicated for a fan that appears “seamless” and “integrated”.

Great Fans

The Haiku fans are really well designed and work very well. We have had two for over two years and have just installed a third. The app is very convenient and works well; we have had no issues. Our son has several of these fans and he also has had no issues. Highly recommended.
