From the makers of Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the real-world augmented reality (AR) game inspired by the Wizarding World that puts magic in the hands of players worldwide. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is co-developed and co-published by Niantic, Inc. and WB Games San Francisco as part of Portkey Games, a label dedicated to creating new Wizarding World mobile and video games inspired by J.K. Rowling's original stories that place players at the center of their own adventure.
Realize Your Wizarding Potential
A calamity has befallen the wizarding world, causing Foundables—magical artefacts, creatures, people, and even memories—to mysteriously appear in the Muggle world. As a new recruit of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, you’ll work with witches and wizards from across the globe to solve the mystery of The Calamity and keep magic safe from Muggle eyes.
The Magic Is All Around You
As you step outside and explore the world, the Map will reveal Traces of magic that indicate the location of Foundables. These Traces are found at various real-world locations and trigger richly detailed 3D encounters in full 360-degree advanced AR. You’ll need to cast a variety of spells to defeat the confounding magic surrounding the Foundables in order to safely return them to the wizarding world. Keep an eye out for other things that will aid you on your journey including Inns that replenish Spell Energy, ingredients that can be used to brew potions, and even Portkeys that can whisk you away to iconic wizarding world locations.
Gather your friends to take on even bigger magical feats such as Wizarding Challenges, real-time cooperative multiplayer battles against dangerous foes. To overcome the stronger threats and discover rarer Foundables, you’ll need to team up and strategize with your fellow witches and wizards and specialize in different magical Professions—Auror, Magizoologist, and Professor—that each have their own unique skills and abilities that come in handy at different times.
Ready your wand, alert your friends, and be ready to protect the wizarding world from a global calamity. Your Wizarding adventure awaits!

Mostly good + improvement suggestion
I’m really enjoying the game so far but I do have a problem with difficulty in obtaining spell energy. I live and work in areas fairly empty of any inns/greenhouses, so struggle to top up the energy needed to play unless I constantly pay real money. I don’t mind the spell energy not replenishing itself over a set amount of time and enjoy going out to find places...if there are any. Because of this I really only have time to play/get ahead in the game on my days off, since I can actually go places.
I was checking what potions I could make since I have far too many ingredients, hoping for a potion which could restore spell energy. I didn’t find one and am not sure if I missed it, but if you don’t have it as option yet, adding it could help. It could be tiered like Exstimulo Potions, easily found/less ingredients to restore 5-10, less common 15-20 and the rarest possibly a full restore. Or something like that. I feel like that could make it a lot easier to play for someone like me without compromising the intent of getting people moving.
I hope I’m not overstepping, thanks for reading!
I play this game multiple times a day and generally love it however there are some bugs occurring that are incredibly annoying. The first is a red dot for a notification in the challenges registry. There is nothing for me to “place a sticker” on nor is there nothing to prestige and yet this dot persists. I know several people also have this bug happening to them.
Most frustrating is that my portkeys are failing to load properly. I never used to have problems with portkeys before but in the last few weeks when I place a portkey (in the same large room and same spot I always have) it doesn’t “place” in the way I’ve directed it to and it doesn’t give me enough space to walk through it. It then disappears and I’ve lost it. On top of wasting the brain elixir potion I used to get more benefit from said portkeys.
My ap is also more frequently freezing and crashing multiple times a day.
Please fix these bugs as they are affecting my enjoyment of the game
Brilliant Game for the Potter geeks like me ❤️
I’ve been playing for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love the game, my only frustration is that we can only get energy from inns, it would be good if energy came in the rewards for leveling up as well.
I love that unlike Pokémon Go it really is free to play, sometimes in Pokémon to level up or restore health you really do need to spend money or wait extensive periods of time to collect what is needed to heal or hatch eggs (ect), i did put a small amount of money into unite but not because i needed to so i could move forward but because i wanted to, its a brilliant game and i love that a lot of the smaller artefacts from Potter and fantastic beasts are in there, brilliantly put together and it’s obvious a lot of thought was put into this game, it would be great if we could link our walking distances to our game like other games, and have it count to our portkeys while not on our game, like Pokémon and egg hatching, it’s still a new game and im sure many updates will be added along the way, having friends we can add and send gifts to would be a lot of fun to 🙂
