Hearthstone is a good game. Well balanced and if you put in the time (and money) easy to climb to the top 5-10 ranks if you understand the meta decks and the gameplay at its core. Here is where my problem comes in. Once it gets to the top 5 ranks, the game literally degenerates into a larger version of rock, paper, scissors, wherein it’s a matter of luck whether you are matched up against a favourable opponent. For example, back when I played a metric tonne the only decks really used were Control Warlock, Murloc Paladin and some other decks I’ve forgotten. Basically if you play warlock, you pray for “not Paladin” because when you inevitably are matched up against Paladin, it all comes down to the luck of the draw and not so much skill. It becomes really frustrating to top deck useless card after useless card, while your opponent has a board of 1/1s that become 3/3s when he drops a top decked Sunkeeper, the list goes on. Further, at the top ranks, my win rate was usually around 55%, meaning I could spend hours playing the game nonstop and climb all of 3-4 stars. Ultimately, became very frustrating and I felt like it was just a waste of time, because I wasn’t really improving at the game, merely hoping.

This game becomes very addicting to play. The music composed for the during game-play is incredible, there are multiple tracks that continuously loop and draw you in with excitement and mystery that lasts your entire match. Sound effects on the cards are just the icing on the top for the game excitement, not only are there attacking and dying sounds to make the combat seem so real, but every card and hero has their own catch phrases. The card artwork and animations are always fantastic, I like to spend the time between taking Turns in the game to have a closer look at the cars artwork. The golden cards even have animations on the artwork which make it even cooler.The Gameplay is fun too, even as a beginner you can waste hours and hours on this game just playing and losing and not worrying about the outcome of the game because the gameplay itself is just so much fun. Veteran players always have opportunities for new and exciting experiences too with the addition of new expansions every few months, and the ability to create custom decks of cards with almost any wacky and creative combination you want.I recommend this game to all my friends because it’s always a 1v1 game and you will never get frustrated or stuck in a toxic team based environment like other popular online games. 10/10

I have been playing Heathstone for a decade now and it holds a special place in my heart. It’s brilliant strategic, creative and innovative play makes it the best phone games of all time. However, recent reforms to bring in ‘paid gems’ and more gimmicks have been an abomination. Previously you could either earn coins to enter prize winning comps of just pay a small fee (which I would do often). With the switch to try and become like every other dodgy ‘pay to play’ iPhone game they have made a major marketing and strategic error. There is no way I am buying into that, and will have to be content to playing a sub-par version until it gets too annoying. Please remove the genius who had started to destroy this beautiful game before it is too late to recover its great legacy.

Change the dam quest line. IF YOU REMOVE WARRIORS Questline you'd still have a decent aggro deck in your hands. This is especially true in Wild where Cap'n Rokara merely adds to the power of the deck and allows a more long-term gameplans instead of "win before turn X or bust". I would probably change the questline itself here to require more Pirates (possibly 3+3+3) and consider also changing the first reward as it allows a consistent tutor effect for Ancharrr, which is often important for guaranteed Pirate refill. Removing one of the effect of The Juggernaut would be next in line if the deck was still too powerful, or possibly even making the three effects rotate instead of all happening every turn. IT HAS A 80-85% win RATE. Yet you do nothing at all. These quest lines where a big mistake they do nothing to the game where is all the enjoyment gone instead you have replaced it with a sense of frustration. Demon hunter I might as well sit back and watch them flip through there cards to complete there quest only for them to drop 3 taunts down that where reduced from 7 mana down to 0. You have removed why I play, why I love to play, and replaced it with quest lines that are so out of reach for anyone playing a standard game.
