Description
HID Mobile Access® merges security with convenience by enabling a smartphone or other mobile device to securely open a door or gate.
If you would like to start using HID Mobile Access® in your organization please visit http://www.hidglobal.com/services/mobile-access to learn more about the service and compatible readers. The App will only be useful to you once your organization has been setup with compatible readers and your security administrator can issue Mobile IDs.
To improve the door opening experience, we detect readers when the app is not open. Location Services is used exclusively for this purpose.
What’s New
Version 4.5.0
We are pleased to announce the release of HID Mobile Access v4.5.0! Enclosed are the newly introduced features and enhancements.
1. Enhanced Policy Enforcement for the Twist & Go and Nearby Reader features. These settings allow Organization administrators within the HID Origo Management Portal to manage the Twist & Go and Padlock options (located under the Nearby Reader section in the HID Mobile Access App).
2. Improved notification functionality. Outside of the app, users now receive notifications related to app permissions.
Note: This feature is controlled from within the app Settings, and is disabled by default.
3. iBeacon entry and exit events have been added. Users can now view new events related to iBeacon entry and exit on the Activity Log screen.
4. Device model details are now displayed on the About screen and included in the Support email.
5. Work profile information is included in the Support email to provide a better understanding of the app's environment when troubleshooting problems.
6. Transaction time recording is now provided in the activity logs for improved tracking.
7. Provides various additional enhancements and issue resolutions.

Ratings and Reviews
Great app!
Works even when the phone’s screen is locked. In some rare occasion when app does not work when the phone is locked, open the app and it started to work again seamlessly in the background.
Delayed.
When I’m at the door with the app ready, it will not activate the key card or open the door. I click one or hold the key card and does nothing at all, so I keep refreshing the app. It can take a long time for me to get to work because of this problem.
Any Advice?
Unneeded location access a privacy & battery issue
Works well but minus 1 star each for 1) asking for unneeded location access, 2) showing an obnoxious alert when location access isn’t set to Always, and 3) completely bricking the Apple Watch app when location access isn’t set to Always.
