Make a Claim – lodge a claim instantly for a host of Extras health services including acupuncture, chiro, general dental, homeopathy, myotherapy, naturopathy, occupational therapy, optical, osteo, physio, remedial massage, speech therapy and traditional Chinese medicine.
Mobile Claims – in this section, you’ll find a record of all previous Extras claims lodged through this app.
Claims History – access your full claims history for all Hospital, Medical and Extras claims lodged on this Membership.

‘My Membership’ section:
My Policy – view your policy details, current premium and paid-to-date, plus all persons covered on your Membership.
Contact Details – view and update your email address, phone number, home address and postal address.
Membership Cards – need to order a new HIF Member card? Just hit the ‘Request’ button and we’ll pop a new one in the mail for you.

Getting worse

I started using this app when it was first created and it worked really well on my phone, either over home wi/fi or using cellular data. Plus I could upload 6/7 claims at at time, thus saving you paper since you can’t seem to amalgamate claims submitted separately but on the same day! Then, about 2 years a go, after an update it would only upload 1 or 2 claims at a time via home wi-fi, any larger and I would have to do it by cellular data (which was annoying since we have unlimited home wi-fi, and I couldn’t understand why my wi-fi could stream movies with ease and not upload a much smaller claims file!). Fast forward to today and suddenly the app doesn’t even recognise my cellular data and thinks I’m not connected to the internet, and if I use home wi-fi can still only do 1 or 2 claims at a time. Seriously, what is going on with this app??? Please return it to its original state when it wasn’t fancy but did what it needed to do!

So frustrating

Since upgrading, this app is terrible. Despite giving you an option to "stay logged in" it logs you out every single time. That means having to put your member number and password in before you can use it. I have mentioned to HIF staff, who said it was also happening to them, but nothing has changed.
Please fix ASAP.

Fantastic app

First time user of the app that a representative from HIF I formed me of and so far very impressed! As a new mom with no free time on her hands with a very active crawler being able to take a photo of my receipts to claim and send away in seconds is just awesome! In the past I would have to scan the receipts and then attach to email that wasn’t hard but I would have to log onto my laptop then scan then email. Now I just open the app, click and send! As a long tome member I’ve always been impressed with HIF’s fantastic customer service. Good work HIF and thank you!
