I've used this timer for years to give me the motivation to get back to reading and research for further education. It's easy to have a target of 10-20 minutes of reading after which I'm usually not interested in stopping. After a short reward in the form of a cup of tea or a walk around the yard I set myself another short target.

A great timer app for Mac - easy to use - lots of customisation (in the paid version, which is worth the $$) - Probably my only request would be for Siri integration - In the absence of an Apple timer/alarm app, being able to ask Siri to "set a timer for 5 mins" which defaults to Howler Timer would be awesome.

I have been using this app on my last computrer and will om the new one, its simple does what I want. No bells and whistles... but it does Howl :) when time is up! You can have multiple timers running if you need too!

I've had this for a few years, and it's great. If I have something cooking, and I am at work on my PC at home this wee app works brilliantly, it's a great reminder that somethings finished...time never fails...I've just upgraded...love it...
