Description
Hungry Hearts Diner is a game about a small shop at the edge of a
big city. Take on the role of the hard-working old lady struggling to
manage her family's little restaurant—and all by her lonesome, too!
Cook tasty meals for a variety of colorful characters, and learn more
about their triumphs and struggles as they chow down on your tasty,
home-cooked food. Rice balls, dumplings, tempura...you can make it all!
In fact, the more you cook, the more dishes you'll unlock.
And hey, you'll even get a chance to learn about good ol' fashioned
Japanese cuisine while you're at it! Did you know you can make
jelly out of seaweed? Because I didn't!
Of course, the people who visit your diner all have a story to tell.
And what makes people more talkative than a full belly?
Feed your customers until they feel like sitting back and spinning
you a yarn or two!
But not every story is a happy one, and not every ending
joyous. Stay tuned for some twists and turns!
Story

On a tiny side street in a nameless little neighborhood sits an
old Japanese diner. Things are quiet here; old-fashioned
you might say. But of course they are. It's Showa era Japan,
and the television is just starting to come into vogue.
Slide open the screen door and you'll see a kindly old lady
hard at work behind the counter. Her husband's been sick
for a while, and she's had to run the place on her own.
It's hard work, but she's a tough one, and she gets by.
Sit down at one of the worn wooden tables, and close your
eyes. Thunk thunk goes the steady beat of a knife chopping
veggies. Hisss; the sound of meat sizzling in a pan.
Swish swish; a whisk beating eggs.
The soothing sounds of a simple kitchen.
Sit here long enough, and all that tension will just flow
right out of you. So come on in, order a hot meal, and take
a load off. The peace'll do you good.
So, let me guess. The question you're asking yourself right now
is "is this game for me"? Well, maybe it is.

Lovely game, would get again
This game was honestly very fun. All the designs were very unique and the storyline’s were even more so, the storyline’s in particular highlighted the struggles the people were going through and as someone who has almost finished all the storyline’s (as far as I’m aware) there is a lot of character growth and start to understand fully why a character acts that way, it expresses that people has reasons to act as they do and that’s really important. Overall i never once wanted to skip the dialogue and i really enjoyed the game as a whole.
There is one minor pet peeve that i have and it’s that to unlock more dishes you have to get the grey dishes first and that’s fine but when i want to get the dishes they crave i didn’t know how to get them and it was more of trial and error, which was still okay, more playtime but i wish there was something to show you how to unlock these certain dishes.
As a whole great game i enjoyed it a lot, haven’t quite finished but i’m sure to get there soon, once again lovely game, i would definitely get again!
No longer hungry...
I really loved the set up of this game, and the story line. So much so I finished it within one day. I'm glad I can still play after the story has ended though. Maybe in the future other storylines can be added without Iosing any progress. Other helpful things would be having an option to swipe through foods that are on your tables instead of having to exit and then go to them, and having the conversations you can scroll through so you don't have to click so much. I also found that later on in the game around level 22-24 I never received any frenzy opportunities so it was hard to make money. Sometimes I restarted the app to get the opportunity for more customers.
Not gonna lie this healing game is pretty good!
This game has a sophisticated touch of a healing game, where food brings people together as hunger is when people are most vulnerable. I love the diner feel and figuring out when customers come on certain days. Also the highlights are the stories within each character present problems that are realistic in this generation. This game is very engaging I played it for 3 days straight, however the game lack replay value :( but currently trying to unlock the last dish of the menu. I wish there was more parts of the story or cooking that we can participate in even designing the layout of the diner because what am I going to do with all this money. But still I really like this game because the illustrations and animations were really nicely done!!! Comparing to the candy shop game from this company this game, Hungry hearts is REALLY REALLY GOOD!! Please continue manufacturing games like this and add more features! Also customers ya gotta try this out, even just once ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
