Amazing app - and incredible support
Using iA Writer has made a massive difference to my writing (at the moment I am writing training materials). I've tried several other products but this has just the right amount of functionality to avoid distraction and enable focus, but still produces a great looking document. I struggled with a couple of things in Markdown syntax and the developer has been incredibly responsive - going beyond what I asked for to provide very helpful info. I can't recommend this app highly enough.

Keeps getting better and better
I've recently come back to MacOS and iA Writer and have been really happy to find that what was already a great text editor has become something much more powerful. The navigation draw and more recent addition of tags and smart folders now makes managing documents and notes so much easier. Couple this with the ability to create tables and Tables of Reference, this makes iA Writer an essential markdow tool for those of us creating technical documents. All this adds up to iA Writer really surpasing similar products in this class.

Worths every penny
Why 5 stars? Simple, I feel they (iA team) cares about us, writers. They stick to their minimalist niche no matter what. Every update carefully nurtures the product keeping minimalism intact. Every update is delightful on its own right, they are pleasant surprises improving your user experience bit by bit. The app is rock solid, and it is my favourite tool, my swiss army knife against writer's block. iA Writer creates a bond with you and your writing, better than any other tool you may be using. This is not only the best app in its category but also a fine example of how any app should be.
