What’s New

Version 1.4.3

In order to improve performance and user experience of DJI Virtual Flight, the latest version has already fixed blurry images on goggles. In recent years, DJI Avata and DJI FPV series products have been optimized and taken to the next level in terms of safety and accessibility, bringing users infinite possibilities for flight experience and content creation. Therefore, DJI Virtual Flight will stop maintenance on March 21st, 2024. If you have already downloaded this app, you can still use it. In addition, you can choose other third-party simulators. Thank you for all your understanding and support.

Connection between iPad and the remote dropped frequently

After the latest iOS 15.4.1 update, the goggle can not display correctly. And the connection between the remote dropped frequently. Once the connection was dropped, the goggle restart.

Please please please, more maps…

This app strikes upon a brilliant concept. What do you do when you can’t fly your drone, but you’d really like to? Virtual flight gives us the option of practicing and immersing ourselves within DJI’s product outside of actual flight sessions and at the convenience of our fingertips.

However, it’s definitely not getting the attention it deserves. This app is cheaply made and minimal - it needs greater device inclusion (more dji models for virtual training and self-practice) and a greater range of test spaces.

The maps included are very basic, and while keeping within device operational capabilities (iPhone) they could be substantially extended/improved in many ways. I would propose a series of additional maps and a greater focus on training simulation for other devices, including in depth explanations of product usage and design.

Immerse your audience in your product and you’ll develop the existing DJI customer culture. Develop the culture, and you entice a greater audience by creating a favourable strata for communities. This should be one of the major touch points of the DJI brand!

Personally speaking, I’d like to take my flight practice further - with DJI. A trusted brand provides trusted services…

App freezes in Goggles 2

Would be a great app to use as a training ground, but it keeps freezing in the Goggles. The app instructions clearly show it was designed for the Goggles V2 and not the Googles 2. (Which is what I’m using with the Avata)
The hook up of the goggles to the app also doesn’t work until you go into the settings in the goggles, then into ‘more’ and tap in DJI Virtual.
Please fix these issues to work with Goggles 2 and the motion controller.
Would have received 5 star rating if wasn’t for these fundamental flaws.
