Ratings and Reviews
5 stars if it supports iPhone X
Quite literally, it’s the only photo editing app you need on your phone. I used so many other editing apps but keep coming back to Mexture because it just does it’s work so brilliantly. However, it just seems dated and less elegant not supporting iPhone X’s screen ratio. I hope the developer is working on it.
Latest update causes my app to crash
I love this app - it’s my go-to app for most of my phone edits and I was perfectly happy with how it worked. Silly me - I decided to install the update, which promised to make it work even better, no more crashes, etc, and now I can’t even use my large collection of formulas without it crashing! (The rest of the app works fine but I love my formulas!). I’ve tried deleting and re-installing the app, but even that didn’t work. I have tried several times to contact the developer to see whether I am the only person having this problem, but have not had any replies whatsoever (which is a bit rude/unprofessional, when there are clear contact details on their site). I am keeping my fingers crossed that the problem I am having will be rectified with the next update. Pity - I would have had no hesitation in giving it 5 stars otherwise. Amazing app!

Crippling performance makes a great app useless
If you have a decent sized photo library, the performance of the app is so slow and prone to freezing that it cannot actually be used. Just opening the photo library to select a photo to edit on a new iPhone XR with the latest processor takes over 30 seconds, and 9/10 times the app freezes during the process so you have to quit and try again. It’s not simply that it’s slow — The freezing prevents you from even selecting a photo, let alone edit one. This could be solved if Mextures let you import a picture with the iOS share sheet, or used the standard camera roll selection interface. No other photo app has this problem. Until there’s an update addressing this, it’s not worth buying.
