IGN Entertainment 12+

Pretty much the only reason I got this is to see less ads. The browser version is nearly impossible to use with ads everywhere.

Great app. I have a suggestion, could we add a shortcut to get to the top of the page when we press the news button in the menubar. Scrolling all the way to the top is cumbersome.

IGN is easily the best and most convenient place for gaming news. I would daily check and use IGN’s iOS app for gaming and entertainment news as part of my morning habits and use it over lunch breaks at work to catch up on the news of my favourite hobby. The latest update seems to have dropped a lot of QoL features and has a fair few nuances which are really annoying for the while, which I find pushes me to preference the safari web client instead. Here are some things I’ve come across off the top of my head, I’m looking forward to when the app is updated back to including these functions.

* Scrolling the news feed, I choose and article I wish to read. I read it, then noticed the ability to swipe from the left of the screen to ‘back out’ from the article is now gone/dysfunctional. Secondly when you do use the ‘back’ button to head to the news feed, it often places you back at the top of the list.

* PiP video functionality removed

* Review scores not showing

* Game guide/Wiki no longer accessible from app

*Article Search function removed

* Adverts still showing in articles despite being a lifetime ‘Prime’ member - supposedly ad free

* Articles in news/review feed often show listed without article headings

* ‘Reviews’ Tab doesn’t seem to be comprehensive, only showing a finite amount of articles, ~10.

* Thumbnails occasionally incorrect for what the article name is.

Using a iPhone X and this is not the first time it has happened! I use to love your app and content now it’s a advertisement mobile data chewing galore ! I u derstand you have a business model to survive but get the simple things addressed! Am not just displeased but absolutely shocked at a organization such as yours who rely on technology can’t get the technology on your own app right!
