Crashes on start up
Used to love this app, yes it had a few annoying faults with it but made borrowing and shopping for items a lot easier then online after they got rid of the really in-depth categories all one one simple text page.
Now every time I try to use the app on both iPhone and iPad it crashes on start up. I managed to hard restart my phone and uninstall/ reinstall the app and was able to get too the login screen before it crashes and continues to crash on opening the app.
Running ISO 10.3.3, app says it is for ISO 8.0 or later
App view is locked in Portrait view
Ever since the update on 4 April 2018, the App is now locked in Portrait view, which is a shame as I use a keyboard on all my tablets & need a Landscape view, making using the App on tablets completely useless.
Previously the App used to automatically adjust depending on how the device was turned.
Reached out to App Support who are IKEA Customer Service who advised to check my device wasn’t locked into Portrait view - no it wasn’t, & they would pass my feedback on. It’s now August 2018 and the App is still locked in Portrait view.
The App could be so much better - ability to scan barcodes whilst shopping to locate the items in the store.
I do like that I can adjust my lists, although there is a small delay when switching.
Lost in Tempe
I wanted to scan items I liked as I went through the store so downloaded the app. Turns out there were no bar/QR codes to scan in Tempe (Sydney AU) store. Then tried to find some items to save to a shopping list but it kept saying my items were out of stock at the store so wouldn’t save to list. Asked a staff member and he gave me a piece of paper and said to forget about the technology. When I went to get flat packs it turned out the “out of stock “ items were indeed available! So many problems and missed opportunities. How can a company like IKEA with all it efficiencies have an app this bad?? Made me feel like they really don’t care about customers or the shopping experience. So so poor.
