This application provides learners of human anatomy with 560 diagrams or flash cards for learning, revision or as a quick reference guide.

They are ideal for medical or nursing students, biological studies students and physiotherapists or doctors looking to refresh their knowledge.

The content is split into the following parts of the body:
• Head and Neck - 204 diagrams
• Thorax - 67 diagrams
• Abdomen - 104 diagrams
• Arm - 112 diagrams
• Leg - 81 diagrams

Each section is then split into the following:
• Areas/Organs
• Vessels
• Nerves

• Muscles
• Surface Anatomy
• Vertebral Levels

The diagrams can all be zoomed in using the pinch gesture and can be viewed in landscape or portrait.

There is also a search function allowing you to find any diagram using a keyword.

The material is presented by Dr Robert Whitaker who spent his clinical career as a paediatric urological surgeon. Having retired from surgery, Dr Whitaker now teaches clinically applied topographical anatomy to first-year medical students at the University of Cambridge, in the UK. He also teaches clinically applied anatomy to surgical, radiological and other speciality trainees and is a former examiner for the MRCS at the English and Edinburgh Colleges of Surgeons. Dr Whitaker is also the co-author of the top selling book Instant Anatomy.

Overall, an excellent way to revise for exams and to provide quick references. It would be great if bookmarking system was incorporated into the app. Looking forward to this much-needed feature in the upcoming updates!

Not really flash cards...

It's a reasonable app for study, but misleadingly titled in my opinion. I generally associate the term "flash cards" with a study technique where information to be memorized is on one side of a card and you go through the stack and answer questions, flipping them to test your memory. That's certainly what all the other "flash card" apps do! This app doesn't do that, it's just a heap of drawings like the ones in the screenshots with no actual "flash card" functionality for memorization and self-testing.

I would rate this as merely ok, a nice set of quick summaries on a lot of topics, but not quite what I was looking for unfortunately. I already own several books with this sort of thing...

one of the best

I like this one more than any of the other reference cards I've got at this price
