My favourite app of all. I was a big user of a diary and pen now I can set all my appointments, work, bills with symbols and monthly view and it keeps me organised. No need to cross out events in my diary. If my plans change I just adjust or delete. Is this coming to Apple Watch soon??
Exactly what I was looking for
Calendar/planning apps are very specific to your own needs, and I downloaded and bought lots of them before trying this one - and threw them all away because they were much too hard to use or didn't suit my needs. iPlanner suits me perfectly… the only downside I found was that the function to export calendars to iOS isn't terribly intuitive. My advice to anyone looking for an app like this is to read the capabilities very carefully before spending your money - there's no one size fits all.
Shows Promise. Fixed Landscape view a pain
I’m a shift worker so i’m always on the lookout for the quintessential shift work app. So far, it’s eluded me. What I want a shift work app to do is to display my roster in a calendar view using icons or symbols which display up front. iPlanner does this. I also want an app which will allow me to track overtime worked, training, sick and annual leave, higher duties and so on. iPlanner does this but only to a point.
We work a minimum number of hours per roster (1 calendar year). We need to make up hours and things such as training, special duties and so on make up the shortfall. I need an app which will show me how many hours are worked and what’s owing. Not many apps do this. iPlanner doesn’t. But it does have a reporting feature which could do this.
When entering categories, such as my shifts it’d be nice if I could set default times, eg. for Dayshift, have a start and end time of 7am and 7pm. So, when I enter it as a new event these figures automatically fill. Same for training, overtime and other categories.
Finally, this fixed landscape mode is a pain. Most people view their smartphones and tablets in “portrait mode” which, ergonomically, is easier when simple browsing. To make it auto rotate would make it as lot easier to use.
