My son loves it!
Too bland
My 6-y.o. son didn't ask any questions about what he saw and heard in the book - generally a sign a book was of only moderate interest. As he's currently asking 100's of questions about which critters eat what for lunch, the missing 'scary bits' are exactly the sort of thing he would have enjoyed. Pity. I would also have liked to see something at the end about fossils etc. I think the Smithsonian could have added a bit more of the science. Overall ok, but not brilliant.
Engaging
Engaging and fun with the scary bits missing so suitable for little ones. My son loves the sound effects and the different types of dinosaurs.
