What’s New

Version 1.8.3

Welcome new students, residents, and fellows! The Summer 2019 version to Journal Club brings you a couple of updates:

• Fixed an issue causing some links to open in Safari rather than in-app — sorry about that one!
• Updated our screenshots in the App Store to reflect what trials are currently in Journal Club.
• Behind-the-scenes speed improvements because your time is valuable!

We'd love it if you'd take a minute to leave us a review in the App Store. Your voice really counts!

Handy Resource

Landmark studies summaries at your fingertips. Nicely done app, well worth the money for any practising doctor or medical students.

To reviewer who complained that no new studies were added in the two weeks of owning the apps: this app only includes _landmark_ studies and its likely that during that two weeks nothing major has been published hence the lack of update.

No anaesthesia

I bought this thinking it would have anaesthesia as a specialty but it doesn’t and nowhere did it say in the app description that anaesthesia was not included. Very odd given that it’s the largest in hospital specialty.

Developer Response ,

Dear streamr89,

Thanks for your feedback! We would love to have an anesthesia subspecialty, but at this point our expertise continues to be in medicine and its disciplines.

We try to make it clear that Journal Club: Medicine is medicine-centric (hence the “Medicine” in the app name), and we specifically include in the app description that it’s powered by Wiki Journal Club (wikijournaclub.org). Prospective users can go there to see the entire list of articles covered in the app.

In any event, thanks for checking us out and giving us a chance. We are sorry to hear Journal Club didn’t meet your expectations and we wish you the best of luck as you work towards mastering the literature!
