Ratings and Reviews
There are so many good platforming games around, and this could be one of them if the controls weren't so frustrating. The game looks nice, and it might reward perseverance, but I couldn't be bothered past the second level.
Jungool is a very smart puzzle platformer that forces you to think. The level design can sometimes be excellent but other times just plain frustrating. There is a rather great sense of accomplishment when finishing a level. Some levels introduce some completely different and offentimes fun mechanics to experiment with. There aren't very clear instructions on how they work so it is mostly done by trial and error. The graphics are pretty decent and the audio is great.
However, no matter how intellegent the gameplay is, gets held back by poor control implementation. They never feel responsive, and the movement analogue is too small and unintuitive. They feel very loose and it can ruin the overall gameplay. You do get used to it over time though.
It does take a while to complete the few levels in the game. I can definitely recommend this if you're looking for a unique platformer experience, if you can get used to the controls.
Am I this dumb?
How do you get past the Mayan temple level? With the rolling bad guy and the white mask?
