Mind-bogglingly bad interface (amazed that Apple let this through), with some promise in the beginning. I was thrilled that it could control my lights at first: including turning them on and off remotely. Alas, after turning them off via the app overnight, they couldn’t be turned on again in the morning, because the Bluetooth interface was missing, even after rebooting the module.

After much frustration, dragging down in Search mode (also frustrating!) checks for devices again. This only highlights a major flaw...

The interface needs much work (don’t try to use it on an iPad: you can’t escape the Timer window).

Adding a device is incredibly bizarre and difficult. Yes, in the end you can find the device (Jutai) but then what? Tapping it places a tick against it. Sliding the on/off switch does nothing. Then what? Do I need to add it to a ‘Light Group’ or not? Apparently not, but trying this on multiple devices led to complete frustration. It might be that only one device can operate the Bluetooth module.

The use of buttons and headings is confused to the extent that tapping the top button is pointless because it is a title, and the language is very poor (‘Return’ is used wrongly in so many places it isn’t funny).

So the interface is bad, and hard to fathom. Okay, but does it work? Mostly, but certainly not on an iPad (stick to the iPhone version). I still can’t work out how to add it to multiple devices.

It’s easy to set up, but the interface is pretty. There’s not many controls available and when you set the lights to react to your music, it will have a fit with any normal song and aren’t flash.

Can you please update the app to control the sensitive to music, and also to give further controls over the lights and how they flash when you have multiple sets of lights.

The app has a very poor interface, bad IA and bad copy. I’ve got it to work ok by reading some forums. The major retailer (Bunnings) should review stocking the brand the app is so bad.

*Update* Months later, The app is still as bad. I don’t think they’re concerned. Every time I open it the state has been reset. For example: If the lights are on, when I open the app the ‘switch’ control is off and the ‘group’ is I unselected. Every time I need to select the group then turn them on and off again in the app. Just inexcusable sloppiness.

*Update 2* App has been updated apparently fixing the issues. Nope. Still the worst. It needs a ground up rewrite.
