Get an updated race prediction for 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon after every one, so you can see the real improvements to your fitness day after day. Build confidence leading into a race about the paces you can run for the distance and plan your race with conviction.

A DYNAMIC WEEKLY DISTANCE TARGET
Each week you get a simple, dynamic distance target. Under the hood it is the training load that you can sustainably achieve for the week, translated into a distance based on your average intensity and cross-training for previous weeks. If you run harder because you’re feeling good, the distance you’ll need to run decreases. If you run easier because you feel like that’s what your body needs, you can still achieve the same training load by running further.

HIT YOUR TARGET EACH WEEK AND ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL
As long as you achieve your weekly distance target each week, you’ll be in goal shape by race day. If you don’t manage the consistency because life, you’ll still know the exact shape you’re in so you can race with confidence.

Being data-driven, Kaizen doesn’t force you into a plan. You can plan your runs around your schedule to make up your weekly target. Miss a run? Subscription charge no reminder

You can try Kaizen free for 7 days. They have a nice chart showing how the free trial works. It clearly shows “Get a reminder” get notified that your trial is ending. They conveniently skipped this step - no email or push notification that the trial was ending. Just a big fat subscription charge for a full year.

In terms of the app itself I like the idea but in practice I didn’t find it that useful. You can plan your training to a weekly target, but the weekly target changes depending on your paces which makes it hard to actually plan. You can also only see one week ahead. It’s something that could be interesting to look at every now and again with the race predictions. But the subscription fee is a lot to pay for a race predictor.
