Kik Messaging & Chat App 17+

I love this app and have been on it for many years, it gives me everything I’d need in a messaging app personally and is super simple to use. There’s tons of great groups which offers the ability to speak with people who have similar interests.

Now; the downside.
A big, giant, fat downside.

They’ve started spamming EVERY group. They’ve been around for a while, but never this terrible. Literally hundreds of bots have been entering the groups I’m in like a whole army, and it’s getting both ridiculous and irritating. Rage bot does it’s best to remove them, but it doesn’t get them all, plus they create a giant space in the group whenever they join— especially if you have rules set to send when new people come in.

It’s insane, and quite honestly it’s ruining the fun of the app. If you could perhaps find a way to fix it, somehow, that would be amazing.

Also, chat logs shouldn’t delete when you log out, it’s quite upsetting for people to lose chat logs if they sign out or move to a new device.

People would likely happily pay for the app or for add ons if they were given the option, such as paying to remove the annoying ads that pop up above messages and go ham on batteries.

Either way, a great app at its base, only faults really for me are what I mentioned.

What is happening again with Kik?
Public group search capacity is missing and other glitchy issues since my phone did its recent Apple update. Is there some sort of passive/aggressive war going on between Apple and Kik??

I’ve been a user of kik for several several years in particular kik public groups which I have been a part of since I discovered them 3years ago. Lately though there are so many changes that make it frustrating for the regular, long-term user. LIVE The addition of Live seems irrelevant and annoying. It has forced my kik to lag frequently and it’s cut down the actual viewable screen for kik chats. I would prefer the Live function to be an option you could remove if you’re not interested in it. OPENING PICS Also since my latest Apple upgrade I can no longer open pics/memes/vids to zoom or save. Also if I do forget and tap on a pic the whole Apo freezes and I have to close the app and reopen which is incredibly frustrating PUBLIC ROOMS This feature also seems affected by some block as it constantly comes up as an error message if I try to create a new public room. I’m not sure why so many features of kik are no longer running smoothly. It’s a previously great social media platform that’s spiralling downwards. I wish the issues were resolved as I want to continue using it.

I own a number of groups on kik and for some reason 3 days ago I lost them as well as not being able to see members, group pic, or admin rights. The only thing I see is the words “just you” or when the groups have reappeared it’s just the hash tag showing. Is there an issue like this going around? I’ve heard a few ppl have experienced it and that it fixed itself (not for me!). It’s really a bother when I can’t admin my own groups or see them.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but that only made it worse because it got rid of my groups again. It’s really bad.
Can anyone help?
