Wonderful, sweet, genuine

I’m so happy I found this app. I rarely write reviews, but I thought I’d make the effort this time because Kinder World really deserves it. It’s such a gentle app, with activities that have been shown to improve mental health (e.g. doing kindness activities, mindfulness, emotional naming) presented in a cute way. If you remember tamagotchis, then there’s an element of gameplay that reminds me a bit of that… except you’re looking after a plant, not an animal, and unlike real plants it doesn’t die if you neglect it! It just gets unhappy. There’s also a real sense of connectedness you get by using the app, because its post office allows you to send and receive little messages of hope, compassion, validation etc., and there’s a Discord community that sends you new positive reminders every day even if (like me) you wouldn’t have a clue how to use Discord.

This and DailyBean are easily my favourite iPhone apps for mental health. If you’re interested in self-care, or even just in gentle gameplay, then I’d highly recommend you give this app a try! Not only is it free, but it also never tries to make you buy anything (there are little in-game elements that you can purchase, but they’re wholly optional). You also earn treats (a form of in-game currency) just by playing. This is so refreshing in a world where most people are just trying to squeeze as much money out of you as they can.

So cute and cozy!

I love love love this game so much. It’s simple yet so relaxing and is a great way for me to take a moment to myself twice each day. I especially love Samy the dog because he checks in on me regularly and sends me cute letters too. And he reminds me of my real life dog with the same name, Sam. I also love the post office because i get to send and receive comforting letters from real life people. I love decorating all the rooms too.
Would love for them to add more rooms in the future. There’s no ads and real life purchases are never pushed on users so i can tell the creators genuinely care abt the users and the game isn’t just a cash grab like a lot of other mental health apps. Anyways, sorry this review was so long. Whether ur struggling with mental health or not, i 100% recommend downloading.
P.s. would love if they brought back the pathwords event :)

I love this game and the Kinder World team so much

I have used this app for a while and it’s safe to say that I love it with my whole heart. The Kinder World team knows what it’s doing, they’re super helpful and proactive, always listening to their audience and engaging them in decision making.
The app itself is so easy to use that it literally isn’t a hassle to log my emotional naming or gratitude twice daily. I find that I get overwhelmed with other self help or care apps simply because there’s just too much to do or the interface isn’t customisable, but Kinder World is simple, effective, and so user friendly and customisable.
I literally recommend it to all my friends and family and genuinely look forward to my mental check ins.
Thank you Kinder World!!! 🩷🌸
