Conceived by author Patrick Lindsay, the Kokoda app captures the spirit that was born at Gallipoli and came of age at Kokoda: a spirit of mateship, sacrifice, courage and endurance against overwhelming odds. It's a story that continues to inspire today.
The Kokoda campaign turned back a Japanese invasion force bent on capturing Port Moresby by land. Had the invaders succeeded, Australia would have been at their mercy.
