A relaxing experience

Kotoro is a relaxing puzzle experience, with calming sounds and smooth visuals. The puzzles in general are quite good, and level progression is for the most part interesting and well-paced.

However, Kotoro does have some flaws. One is that eight or so levels into each 'world' the puzzles tend to feel a bit samey, though some have interesting solutions that stand out from the rest. 'Swap', in particular, becomes quite repetitive, as all solutions are similar. Another thing that could be improved is simply the length of the game; what is in here is great, but with only 60 short levels (the harder ones took me only a few minutes each), the experience will not last you terribly long. I do see, however, that there is a 'more coming soon' page, which hopefully means we will see some more of Kotoro soon.

Kotoro is definitely a zen-like experience, one that will appeal to puzzle solvers who like things which are original and minimalistic. It is short, yes, and it can feel repetitive, but Kotoro does not fail to drive you on to complete every level.

Soothing

This game is very soothing and the music fits perfectly. There seems to be no glitches or anything, just nice, smooth puzzle-solving.

Pleasing puzzle game

Not too hard, but challenging enough to give a good sense of achievement.
