Impossible!

I have tried 6 times to add my device using manual insertion of the barcode as nothing happened when I made several attempts to scan it with the camera. This is a waste of time and pathetic in something that is so expensive and all plastic to boot. NOT happy!

When you get a new modem it’s impossible to connect!

It’s good when it connects, but every time you get a new modem the V40 Pro seems impossible to connect! Day 3 and lost count of how many times I’ve tried to connect it! It will tell me that I need to be using 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz, well I know this and have been trying to connect it to 2.4 yet it keeps saying the same thing! So annoying! In these days and times it should use 5Ghz everything else these days runs off 5Ghz! This app does not give enough information about how to connect or why it isn't connecting. Even after a factory reset and wiping all records it still wont connect! Also the V40 Pro has a major flaw that is spiders can enter the sensor and stop proper rain readings! You have to get it down every week pull it apart to get spiders and webs out then put it back into place making sure it is level! This is also a huge hassle! Yes I have an old model, but with these types of problems I really don't think I want to be upgrading to another La Crosse.

Ok ... but ... 😏

The App is OK but lacks in some areas. For instance, setting up the WiFi was a PITA because it only supports 2.4 GHz so, with a WiFi router with both 2.4 and 5 GHz (which most - if not all are nowadays), I had to resort to some technical trickery, including replacing the WiFi router. Forget abour trying to connect it to a Starlink WiFi router - it simply won't let you configure it to split the two frequencies into two logical routers.

Second, the history simply isn't there. Ie. I can't view what the lowest temperature of the month was or how much rain we had yesterday. Stupid limitation. Other products offer a very rich data and graphical view of the history several months, even years, back.
