Description

We get it. You don’t have time to read every single interesting article being shared online. That’s why, since 2019, Later (previously called Abyss) has been the perfect companion to your digital life. With Later, you can save any link from any app or website and read it whenever you’re ready.

Later is available on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It syncs your data via iCloud, which means that everything you do on one device is seamlessly reflected on all of them. Furthermore, your data is only available to you; there are no servers involved, so your data stays 100% private.

Later lets you organize all your important articles between your inbox (things you’ve pending to read) and your archive (things you’ve already read). You can flag links that are important, tag them for better categorization, and even save them offline to read on the go when you don’t have a network connection.

Later lets you bring your previous digital life from services like Pocket, Instapaper, GoodLinks and more. Simply navigate to Later’s settings and tap on “Import/Export”. You’ll be guided on how to bring all your data! Also, Later lets you export all your data in case you’d like to move to another service or keep a backup. By default, Later also saves a daily backup of all your links on your iCloud Drive.

Smart Solution for Common Problem

What a clever idea!
Each day I'm churning through a lot of webpages --articles, interesting sites, cool links-- but I don't have enough time to go through them all. They end up accumulating so that I lose track of them, while my browser gets choked up...

But then I discovered this gem of an app --so simple, yet so smart!
I've gone through and cleaned up my browsers (yes! on all devices!) and it's down to only a few tabs. When I come across a webpage I want to come back to later, I simply use the share feature and "Save to Abyss" to return another time.

Soon as I downloaded and started to use it, I could see it's worth paying for.
I love finding apps which come up with a clever solution for a nagging problem.
This is one of them. Love it!

Great app!

Much better interface Instapaper and Pocket, and the unread, archive, and favourite features make the list of articles much more manageable and easy to keep track of!

One suggestion would be to add an option for image previews alongside the saved pages to make it easier to see what each page is at a glance.

Fantastic work!

What I needed!

Love. Love. Love!
It’s just what I needed: a simple app which stores my URLs across all devices. 👌 Simple idea done well.

My problem = too many tabs in my browser as I want to save them but
(1) they get “buried” because they are difficult to search;
(2) they don’t need to be bookmarked because they are just waiting to be read/viewed; and
(3) they slow down my web experience. :/

My solution = Abyss.
On all devices I simply use the share feature of safari and “Save to Abyss”. It saves the URL to Abyss for later.

Love. Love. Love.
Worth paying for!!!
