I got this app literally one day ago and I love it. It’s so easy and simple to learn from. I feel that one thing you could do is allow people to make their own profiles on it so that the app is teaching you hello and introductions; when it’s teaching you “hello my name is… “ instead of David it could use your name so that you can learn how to say your own name in Chinese. But other than that I love your app and am seriously considering buying the subscription for it. I work in a Japanese and Chinese restaurant and this app is helping me learn the basics so that I can feel more at home and connected with the people around me in the workplace. Thank you so much for all your hard work into making this app for people like me. 😊

This app is a gentle yet exacting digital teacher. It builds your understanding chunk by chunk, always with audio to accompany every character and every word of pinyin. The words are taught alone and then in meaningful, useable sentences. Each lesson provides an extra timed revision activity over 5 minutes that you can retake as often as you wish. The pinyin is there if you need it, but you can turn it off and work with the characters and audio alone. After only 2 months, I found that I could function without the pinyin and focus purely on the characters. This app deserves to be a leading player and a model for other designers in the digital education revolution. Thank you very much, developers!

I am a total beginner when it comes to Chinese. And this app won't bring me to mastery. But then, this is not its purpose. It is a jumping board then will lift me off from the ground (zero!) and give me enough knowledge and confidence to continue down the path of learning this beautiful language! And it provides a plethora of tools to boot with! And when things go wrong after an iOS update their support is there to fix it with all their might! Just wish there was a guide of some sort explaining how to incorporate all those extra tools besides the already excellent main course. Or when and which tools to start using at what point of time during the course...

I’ve been learning Chinese for many years off and on and the current version of this app is incredibly improved from much earlier days. My only criticism of this app is the speed at which some of the videos of humans speaking is so very fast that it’s totally unrealistic. I don’t think anyone speaks at this speed. But don’t let this put you off as these videos aren’t frequent and everything else is really excellent. Take the time to do the speaking and listen back to yourself. Really important and very fruitful in terms of improvement. Love the improved app so much that I’ve bought the lifetime membership. Good luck and enjoy.
