OK for freeware

The program does work and play blu-ray disks.
But video quality is not perfect / jerky.
( exactly same disc plays perfectly using Power-DVD 12 & Windows 7 boot )
Also weird you need to click on root directory before it begins play.

to say it is disgustingly bad is being too kind

downloaded this APPALLING app to run on a 12 core mac pro in a recording studio. Opened a BluRay disc and it made a sound which nearly damaged both my ears and my VERY expensive Tannoy studio monitors, every pair of headphones in the studio. Absolute rubbish. I cannot beleive Apple allows rubbish like this to even exist on the app store. There should be MUCH higher standards as to what is even allowed on the App Store. Clearly there isn’t. Once upon a time everything for the Mac worked well. OSX has gone down hill, the current mac ‘pro’ is idiotic consumer rubbish designed to be more of a shiny talking piece for tossers, rather than being an actual professional machine. It doesn’t even have an optical drive!! Much less a bluray burner like it should have, which is why I have put one in my proper old mac pro. Beginning to despise everything about Apple. I once was perhaps their biggest fan.

Not great.

I had the same problem as reviewer portasonic - after loading up a blu-ray the audio only played through one channel (left), and then when I skipped to another episode (I was trying to watch a TV series) the audio flipped over to the right channel and went ear-piercingly loud! I couldn’t get my headphones off quick enough, stuff like that causes hearing damage. Portasonic was not exaggerating, and I can see why

On top of that, it wouldn’t play the stream smoothly. Dropping out both video and audio, often not at the same time. Its amazing stuff like this gets through the gatekeepers, as I remember when all apps used to be thoroughly checked but quite obviously not anymore. And what is it with MacOS and Blu-ray that makes them so incompatible. I can’t seem to find a decent blu-ray player that works just as it should.
