Great but….
Love the app. Love all the information I can see (and know when the family are using it when I’m at work)
The only issue I had was I was logged out randomly a few weeks ago and could not log back in at all. Tech support could not help me and I wasted a lot of time on both the phone and messenger service and the only advice I ended up getting was to create a new account. Not the end of the world. I have done so and am enjoying once again my phone telling me when to hang out the washing and secretly turning off the TV when the kids won’t do as they are told.

Poorly designed initial steps = frustration
I select to login with an LG account. Screen helpfully gives the option to enter login details and either login or create an account with those details. After recording the email and password in my password manager, I click create account. 1st f’ing question? Enter your email. I type that in again. 2nd f’ing question? Pick a password. Switch to password manager, retrieve password. Switch back to app and...we’re back at the ‘choose the account you want to log in with’ page.
Don’t developers realise that entering and re-entering data on a phone is time consuming and difficult at times, especially if you have to remember and record passwords? Why would you want your app to waste your users’ time the first time they use it? Didn’t go any further than this because given those first steps, the rest of the app can’t be that well thought out.
Provide useful but untrue info
I got an issue with my washer that it got stuck in the spinning cycle for quite a while. I didn’t notice it until 3AM in the morning. It showed 8 minutes left for ever. I had to manually intervene the washer to help it end the cycle. The app doesn’t record the start time of the cycle. It only syncs the time from the washer and adds it to the current time. It doesn’t recognize that something might be wrong and it takes abnormally more time than expected. I want a push notification for failure far more than telling me it successfully finish a cycle. I also examined the energy monitoring, but sadly it showed that this cycle used the same energy although it got stuck for hours. BTW, I can only see the comparison, but I can’t see any detailed numbers, or even the unit of the energy. By far, this app can only save me a few steps from the washer, but provide nothing more
