Care Package Scam

During this COVID period, I am trying to be supportive for small business owner. Bought $100 care package. The initial 2 stages, lots of restaurant are down, I’m just tying to do what I can with support the local.
Now the restriction lift, I can’t use this care package with any deals, unless for full price meal. Liven customer service told me this is double dipping and favor to the merchant.
I support a lot of other local business by prepaid coffee, lunch deal etc.
Liven and Paparich is the worst. At the end only asking for $3 discount. But is the principle. Truly regret and disappointed.
Word of advice, there are better option out there, discount from Liven only like 10%, EatsClub easily 30% to 40% discount without any out of pocket payment to the app.

Inconsistent App and Terrible Customer Service

I’m surprised to see that the average rating for this app is so high. From my personal experience it has been nothing but inconsistent. Out of the 6 times that I have tried to use it to pay for food so far, it has only worked twice. The four times it didn’t work were all due to the system being offline at the venue (according to staff).

In terms of customer service, my friends and I had a bad experience when going to a venue to take advantage of one of the “Frenzy” offers. We wanted to get takeaway and it was not stated in the terms and conditions of the offer that it was not available for takeaway. We passed feedback onto Liven that they should be transparent and state terms more clearly when sending out email offers to encourage users to visit a restaurant in a “Frenzy - today only” period. I was impressed with the speed of their response to the feedback but I was quickly disappointed that the feedback was dismissed by the Liven team saying “we will pass this onto the restaurant”. Liven did not want to take any responsibility for the issue.

The concept of the app tying loyalty rewards all into the one place and its design is great. Their customer service and the functionality of the app has a very long way to go.

Bad Experience

Helped my relative register for an account on my phone as they came to Melbourne for a visit. But when I tried to get back into my account, it said my device is paired up with another account being my relative’s account. Meaning that I can never get back into my account. I emailed Liven support team on the same day in regards to this issue but did not receive any respond. Subsequently the next day, I tried to log into my account again, an error message popped up stating that my account got suspended. I did not receive any form of communicated from the Liven team in regards that my account got suspended, I find this very unprofessional. And I am personally finding it rather uncomfortable that an app is storing my credit card details and while my account is suspend, god knows what they can do with my card details - which leave me with no choice but to cancel my card and request a new one for safety reason. Disappointed. Such a shame as I wanted to explore more of this app.
