Disappointing
Honestly, I’ve been trying to give fusebox the benefit of the doubt with a lot of the writing decisions for these seasons and I have kind of lost that by now. These newer seasons can’t compete where they don’t compare with season 2, the GOAT. The choices don’t really feel like they matter in ex in the villa and it is extremely poorly written. Bombshell is at least tolerable and some of the choices do seem to effect the MCs time in the villa. It’s really sad to give up on a game I used to love so much. I can honestly say that I used to love this game. The first few seasons had the perfect balance of romance, drama and fun. While some of the graphics weren’t great, the characters felt more realistic in a few of the earlier seasons. Unfortunately, the game has done the same thing the show has and gone downhill fast. I feel as if there is wayyy too much focus on creating drama than there is anything else which is disappointing due to the fact that we (the players) have literally been telling y’all what we want.
I couldn’t even finish the Ex in the Villa season and I don’t see myself finishing this new one either. The push for drama has become almost cringey and the opportunities in the Villa are more limited now too. Maybe it’s time to take a step back and look at what worked and what people enjoyed instead of going for the thrill because it’s not doing what y’all are intending for it to do.
Give me options. Give me better graphics. Give me more challenges. Give me less drama. Please.
Shockingly bad and only getting worse.
Gives “written by a 13 yr old who’s homework is due in the next hour and is only just starting it now” vibes. Tbh, don’t even bother - your choices in the game don’t matter at all because they’ll just force feed the rigid storyline they wrote until you’ve developed Stockholm syndrome and spent all your money/gems/time on this triggering POS game. It’s gotten to the point where the company is coasting off the success of the first few seasons and now just views it’s playerbase as cash cows and not putting any effort in to create a good game. The VERY FEW characters they do have are stale and underdeveloped, they shove unwanted LI’s so far down your throat you feel violated and make you feel like dirt if you don’t buy them, MC is weak af and cornered into options you don’t want AND they drip feed the tiniest amount of content each week because if they released it in bigger chunks, you’d become bored within 2 seconds. If you value your time and energy, don’t bother with this game. You’ll have a better time doing literally anything else, trust me.
