** Apple App Store Selections: "Our Favorite Mac Apps" & "Invaluable Utilities" **

Every time you multitask with many apps open, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process swift and easy.

In one drag to the edge of your display, you size any app into half of the screen. And by dragging its windows to corners, you snap them into quarters. Sliding on the bottom edge creates thirds, or even sixths on ultra-wide monitors. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.

All commands can be triggered via keyboard shortcuts as well – there is a Magnet icon in the menu bar where you can find a predefined set of hotkeys or create one that fits your habits.

Fantastic app, however..

This is a great app and makes arranging your workflow super easy.
One feature of the latest version is the suitability of ultrawide monitors. This allows you to divide the screen into 6 parts. Although sound in theory, each part is very small and may have limited functionality. It would be useful to have the ability to turn this feature off. I click to fit my windows using my mouse and never use the keyboard shortcuts, therefore I now have the added issue of ensuring that my window doesn’t snap to a 6th size. This take longer and is a little frustrating.

If you don’t have this app at all, get it! It’s awesome. If you have the older version and use it like I do, skip this upgrade.
I had to enter my time machine and restore the previous version, however for those that do not have this ability, allowing users to turn this feature off or install legacy versions would be a useful one.

Great App - Can't imagine going back to it

(Trust me, I hardly ever write reviews & always click "next time" or "don't ask me again") At first, I thought I wasted my money on a really simple app, and so I requested a refund on my first purchase. My life went downhill from then. It became extremely frustrating for me to click/drag my screens all the time! So I purchased it again a couple of days ago - it was the best $1.50 I have ever spent. I use it literally every single day when I need to be looking at multiple windows at once - I'm using it right now as well. It's a great way to neatly and quickly organise your screen. It may appear as an awfully simple app, but it's superb because it's simple and easy to use. Seriously, you will not regret investing your money into buying this app. A big thanks to the developers of this app! :)

Didn’t know how much i needed this until i tried it. Superb.

I knew this app was a good idea but it wasn’t until I got fed up juggling between screens late one night during a Coursera hands-on training (taking notes in browser tab, watching videos, clicking links to new resources and navigating new software for prac exercises) that I finally clicked the Magnet icon patiently waiting at the top of my screen and found sweet screen-real-estate relief in under a second.

How did I go without this for so long?

If you are like me and working on a small laptop full-time (13 inch MBP) across multiple apps/software/browser tabs/activities and are sick of constantly resizing and juggling windows you will be AMAZED at how easy and fast Magnet makes your workflow now.

Apparently the human brain processes visual information 60,000x faster than text. This must be why the visual menu is so rapid to use. The icons in the menu are so well designed it is faster and easier to understand than most everyday household appliances which means you can arrange open tabs and windows repeatedly without even thinking about it with a rapid click of one of the menu pictures.

This app is probably going to be with me forever now and live in the top 5 frequently used and loved.
