Magnet 4+

Let me get a little "nerdie"; Finder is what's called a single pane file manager. Many operating systems (Windows, Linux and macOS have had apps that are two pane file managers. Two panes make almost every file management activity simpler, quicker and make you more productive. Magnet uses Finder (its NOT a separate two pane file manager) but allows you to have two (or many more) instances of finder so that you can undertake file management activities faster and easier than a single Finder instance.
I've used Magnet for many years. However, I had an annoying issue after the upgrade to macOS 14. To be fair, not many Magnet users suffered the problem and it was an annoyance rather than a fuctionality failure.
Initial response from the developer was slow. But once he began to look into my problem he has quickly fixed the problem with this release. Magnet is working properly for me again.
I highly recommend Magnet.

This is a great app and makes arranging your workflow super easy.
One feature of the latest version is the suitability of ultrawide monitors. This allows you to divide the screen into 6 parts. Although sound in theory, each part is very small and may have limited functionality. It would be useful to have the ability to turn this feature off. I click to fit my windows using my mouse and never use the keyboard shortcuts, therefore I now have the added issue of ensuring that my window doesn’t snap to a 6th size. This take longer and is a little frustrating.

If you don’t have this app at all, get it! It’s awesome. If you have the older version and use it like I do, skip this upgrade.
I had to enter my time machine and restore the previous version, however for those that do not have this ability, allowing users to turn this feature off or install legacy versions would be a useful one.

(Trust me, I hardly ever write reviews & always click "next time" or "don't ask me again") At first, I thought I wasted my money on a really simple app, and so I requested a refund on my first purchase. My life went downhill from then. It became extremely frustrating for me to click/drag my screens all the time! So I purchased it again a couple of days ago - it was the best $1.50 I have ever spent. I use it literally every single day when I need to be looking at multiple windows at once - I'm using it right now as well. It's a great way to neatly and quickly organise your screen. It may appear as an awfully simple app, but it's superb because it's simple and easy to use. Seriously, you will not regret investing your money into buying this app. A big thanks to the developers of this app! :)
