Issues with ads and crashing

Trying to read an article it diverts me to the App Store 3-4 times in one article!!! It is most annoying and they are mostly gambling apps which are being promoted. Crashing is a problem as well which is frustrating. Fix these issues please.

OK, Still Needs Improvement

We all know and love the Daily Mail so this review is purely based on the app’s performance. This is an adequate app, but it is starting to feel dated and in need of a facelift and a few streamlines. For one, any app in 2021 should be able to switch from dark to light mode based on the phone’s system, having to do it manually is such a pain, especially when the bright white comes and nearly burns your eyes out in a dark room at night. Also, the whole Topics and Channels system is really clunky. It would be so much more pleasant and quick to just have a scrolling feed, where articles and pictures from each followed channel/topic come up one after the other, instead of having to navigate to a dedicated channel for each subject. I want to effortlessly see all the news I want to see as soon as I open the app, not have to hunt for it. Lastly, some of the topics and channels are clearly outdated, such as events from 2018 and celebrities who have since remarried and have a new name etc., please fix all the above and it will be a perfect news app.

Forced to choose between a terrible format or a website so unstable it crashes every two minutes.

The good thing about the Daily Mails normal homepage is that it looks and reads like a newspaper, with different subjects mixed in together. The app is articles bunched together in an annoying way like an archive or something. The reader comments and the fact that they allow comments on a wide range of subjects was the best bit about Daily Mail, but I’ve noticed lately that it’s become much more PC, making it annoyingly like all the other news media out there. The webpage allows you to see your profile and your previous comments, and gathered all your comments together so you can see if people agree or disagree with you. That is completely lacking on the app. On the app, if you want to see how a comment was received you have to scroll through sometimes literally thousands of other comments to find yours....
in short, Daily Mail is a newspaper. Why not make the app look and read like a newspaper? Free hint.
