Very good but major connection issues
I really like using this app, bought the no ads and everything because it seemed worth it. I slowly start to question that though because unless you only read the popular manga here there are a fair few manga that will not load at all on this app no matter how many times I restart it, so I just may as well access it online instead. If you fixed this one bug this app would be perfect but it’s seriously a problem, I had to reload the app 4 times and clear cache twice just to read a dress up darling chapter.
Almost ideal - not anymore
This app is one of the better manga readers on the App Store. Its pros are that the UI is simple and intuitive, and there catalogue of books is quite expansive. Moreover, books in your favourites list will be marked when they are updated and pushed to the top of the page for easy access. Cons: Bugs: often times when I try to read older chapters of a manga, the pages will take longer to load, and sometimes even fail entirely. One workaround I’ve discovered is to go to the settings, clear the cache, and then kill and restart the app. Even though this works almost always, the fix is not permanent and the issue often returns after a while. Content-wise: I would love a download function so that I can read my mangas even when my connection is spotty or even nonexistent. All in all, I personally think the app is worth the 1-time payment for no ads, and will definitely keep using this app four a long time.
Edit: since a few weeks ago, the app has been performing a lot worse - plenty of crashes and stuck loading screens. At times after crashing, it will also forget your reading history, meaning if you don’t remember the name of the manga you were reading and which chapter it was, you’re out of luck. At this point one of the only reasons I’m still using this app is sunk cost fallacy.
Great app once you bought ad removal
The only issue I’ve had is that pressing next at the bottom for the next chapter doesn’t los the next chapter anymore and now you have to go to the chapter list and manually click the next chapter. Kind of a pain when reading like 100+ chapters.
