Best language learning app ever
This is the best app I have found yet to learn a new language. It begins with basic conversational language, before getting deeper into other words and phrases. You learn by listening and speaking, rather than reading and translating. You start with a phrase, which is then broken down, reformed and adjusted to use different words in a similar fashion, such as saying ‘its is cold’ and ‘it is hot’. It is all done at your own pace, and can be followed along without looking. It is easy, simple, and includes many notes on grammar and culture. In an hour, I was able to learn basic Japanese greetings, and how they fit together. It is extremely fun, with enough of a challenge to keep it interesting, but no so much that it becomes difficult. The narrator can also be turned off, if you wish to speed through the lessons. All in all, an amazing app. Definitely check to see if your local library allows you to get a free subscription. That is how I got my subscription, and it is certainly worth having.
My favourite language app
I recommend this to everyone. Brilliantly put together and takes into account many nuances of different languages. I love that you can go at the pace that suits you, not having to wade through slow repetitive things if you already feel confident with one part. The quizzes are very helpful, chapter recap, and overall flow is very natural and easy to relate to. Well done.
Great tool for long journeys
On average, I was lucky enough to get 1hr p/d practice in my car with the Mango app! I was doing really well with mY lessons - at least 100+ hours! At home I went over the lessons again and wrote them out for extra practice so I could learn to read Japanese as well. I came unstuck when new words and phrases were introduced in an update and were placed in the middle of lessons I already did. It became disconnected with the new phrases as I was up to chapter 18, and all of a sudden I did t know any of the words and had to restart at chapter 1. I now have to delete and restart so it makes sense! Please- it you are
Going to add phrases, please add it to the end!! It’s so frustrating that I stopped using the app.

One of the side effects of this process was adding content throughout the course, as well as creating an additional units for several courses including Japanese.
