Mapscape 2012 delivers interactive access to authoritative, high performance mapping to support the Victorian Emergency Services and a range of other outdoor and mapping enthusiasts. It comprises seamless statewide map views in scales suited for navigation and touring (approximately 1:9,000,000 to 1:280,000), including up to about 40km from the Victoria border into New South Wales and South Australia. Additional map scales down to the property level are available when Mapscape 2012 is used in combination with the iPad datapack which is available from Victorian Emergency Services and other licensed organisations.

Legend changes to include symbology for the new map features.
Ratings and Reviews
This is a great app, with the data pack. Almost worthless without the data pack.
A couple of things which could be improved;
-The map data pack seems to lack many rural bridges, this shows that the road does not cross a River, this has dire consequences for ESOs planning a route to an emergency, not all responders have local knowledge.
(Possibly just a layering issue, but it goes to credibility of the map data). When using Mapscape’12 I currently have to check and verify using Vicmap topo’s.
-it would be good to have Lat/Lon Search in all 3 configurations. Sometimes people give a GPS coordinate in any one of the formats and it would be great to be able to search all formats. (Without having to convert with Gridder).
Great work, keep it up. So much better than carrying range of map books for statewide coverage plus the incident and GR search functions.
Was great But.....
When originally released and coupled with the purchased detailed map package ( not cheap but great detail) the package worked well and could be relied upon to help navigate even the more remote areas of Victoria.
Unfortunately sometime during the last 6 months (an update?) something started going wrong.
Initial 'pinpointing' to determine current location reverts to some location towards NE Victoria.
Several repeated 'pinpointing' taps will eventually result in 'zooming' to the correct location.
A fix was on the cards but seems to have been relegated to later (or never) in 2016.
Mapscape must not be Spatialvision's preferred development priority, a shame and until the bug is fixed would recommend steering clear of their product.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
